Desert Springs Indiana course is the first desert course in Europe and has been built to USPGA specifications. Generous fairways mean it's ideal for the less skilled amateur, while the scenery is astounding. Different tees mean that the better player will find the course's assortment of hazards - from dry riverbeds to cacti- a real challenge.

10 minutes away Valle del Este's sand, water and volcanic rock make for a different sort of golfing experience. Raised tees look down on three lakes and a good number of waterfalls, while ominously large sand bunkers litter the fairways.

At Turre not far from Mojacar there is the Cortijo Grande club de golf. Marina Golf is near Mojacar the relatively short 18 hole course includes three carefully positioned lakes.

Alborán Golf is located in El Toyo Retamar, a new 18-hole Championship course just a few meters from the sea.

At La Envia the course runs up and down a huge valley and it is worth noting the excellent views and splendid greens.
